Worm poop in your garden?

Most of us are worried about many of the harmful chemicals involved in growing a beautiful garden.  To get those roses to grow just right may need just a little help from something in a plastic bottle or box.  Commonly, those chemicals are rather nasty.  They are a cause of concern to families with children and pets (both groups are well known for getting into things they shouldn’t.)

One man has come up with a viable solution to fertilizers that contain harmful chemicals.  Tom Szaky, a Princeton graduate, came up with a way to create a fertilizer using liquefied worm poop.  His product, TerraCycle, uses recycled bottles collected by schoolchildren from around the United States.  Worm poop is much better for the environment than fertilizers with manufactured chemicals.
