The San Diego County Plant Atlas

Not sure if the plants you intend to use in your landscaping are native to the region?  Well, with the help of the San Diego Natural History Museum, some local land managers and biologists decided to get together and create an interactive list of the native flora for San Diego County.  The result is the San Diego County Plant Atlas, a comprehensive compendium of 1500 native plants and 500 non-native.  What's more, they divide the county into multiple sections which offers an even more precise geographic location for flora.  It is a wonderful project and an excellent tool for any land manager, landscape designer, or homeowner.
