We specialize in low maintenance, sustainable and drought-tolerant landscaping and building materials. Architects, designers, contractors, and homeowners rely on us for Southern California’s largest selection of boulders, crushed stone, decomposed granite, flagstone, natural thin veneer, cobble, pebbles, outdoor stone fountains and custom fabrication.

WHO WE ARE
Simple Beginnings
When we couldn't find someone to set boulders for our backyard, we decided to do it ourselves. With two small children, a new home, and little money, we bought some boulders and an old crane to set them. People told us we were crazy to think selling rock could pay the mortgage and feed the kids, but we didn't listen.
Mike drove the crane and Michelle answered the phone. We took every job we were offered and opened our 1st yard in 1995, adding six more yards along the way. We always measured success by the client's pride and enthusiasm when the project was completed
Serving Satisfaction
Today, we measure success in reverse. Before a project is started, we spend the time to educate customers in the design phase, so they make the right choices in natural stone and sustainable landscaping prior to installation. SWB still operates on a simple concept: Work with clients to craft their vision by connecting stone education and good customer service. We want to make a difference. After 30 years, we still serve satisfaction.
Customer Focused
Whether our customer is an architect, a contractor or a walk-in customer, they are important to us. From helping them choose the right type of rock to recommending a local contractor, we want to assist our customers in their outdoor makeover journey. As co-founder Michelle McLeod puts it, “There is no better feeling than listening to a customer tell us how happy they are with their new landscaping that they worked hard to install themselves!
